Next Gathering

The next gathering for the Canberra Local Group will announced soon.

Local Gatherings

The Canberra Local Group meets semi-regularly (about once every 2 months) to view the latest episodes of Doctor Who, Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures. They also have occasional meetings showing classic Who episodes, and sometimes have quizzes at their meetings and offer prizes. The meetings are advertised on the yahoogroups address.

The Canberra group has a varied membership - for example, one member is a professional pianist, while another member wears t-shirts with different Doctors on them on Doctor Who days. The founder of the group loves purchasing Doctor Who action figures, while another owned all available Doctor Who videos (excluding missing episodes ) from Unearthly Child to present. He is disposing of these when the DVD stories become available.

The group meets in a central location in Canberra (O'Connor, which is next to the city). Most meetings are very enjoyable and people bring snacks and drinks while watching and talking about Doctor Who stories.

The last meeting was held on Sunday 25th September 2011.
