Released in December 2004 by Magic Bullet Productions and it appears Storm Mine is the last of the Kaldor City audios.

It takes place on a storm mine (hence the story's name) and therefore brings things full circle as the Doctor Who story Robots of Death, which brought the Kaldor City situations possible, took place on another storm mine.

The story takes place some 18 months after the last story Checkmate (in reality it has been more than 18 months since I listened to Checkmate).

It is implied that Storm Mine takes place in a dream especially since the way that Iago is being presented in the story.

My favourite part of the story is when Blayes and V.23 plays chess. I thought this was a very well played out scene.

It was nice to hear voicing the robot V.23 that of Gregory de Polnay who was the robot D.84 in the aforementioned Doctor Who story.

To be honest I felt somewhat dissatisfied with the ending as it is obvious that was lots more of the story to tell.

If there was one thing that I enjoyed about Storm Mine apart from the chess scene it would have to be the theme tune. It has been a long time since I heard it and it is so good to hear it again.
