http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonlight_%28TV_series%29

From the description the series is about a vampire who is a detective not unlike Angel. In fact Angel co-creator David Greenwalt was for a brief time the showrunner for Moonlight.

Moonlight stars Australian Alex O'Loughlin and also included in the cast is Sophia Myles.

Found out from yesterday's Sydney Sunday Telegraph that Moonlight will premiere on Australian TV sometime in the Summer on 9.

Today is December 12 and the show has been getting mixed reviews here. Deborah Grunfeld of Who Magazine gave it four stars with the "Show of the Week" label saying that the show is cool and angsty. Keith Austin of the SMH Guide gave it a thumbs down calling it a furphy and Dave Kettle from TV WEEK in his review of the second episode to be shown on Wednesday December 19 (which comes fourth place in the highlights of the day) says it is enjoyable from this episode.

No Such Thing As Vampires:
This first episode is much better than I thought it was going to be. Interestingly Beth as played by Sophia said that she felt she knew Mick St John all her life which is reminiscent of when she played Reinette in Girl in the Fireplace of Reinette having known the Doctor all her life.

Out of the Past:
This is quite a good second episode as written by David Greenwalt.
It was quite nice to see Lisa Sheridan (from the short lived TV series Invasion) who played Julia Stevens.
Like the previous episode this has a similarity with a Whoniverse episode-
Mick pretends to be his own son just as Jack did the same in the Torchwood episode Small Worlds.

Dr Feelgood:
Oh my what a title in correlation to what happened in the episode.
Quite a look at the consequences of what happens when a vampire goes bad.
Also good reveal of how Mick became a vampire.

Fever:
The fever of the title was played out well especially when it was complemented with the witness plot.

Arrested Development:
The title refers to a vampire stuck with the face of a 16 year old due to becoming a vampire at that age. While it is a dream to look young forever, 16 is definitely not an age to be stuck at.
The issue of sex between a vampire and a human was raised in this episode. This is something that was touched upon in Buffy & Angel.
Like the song that was played during the confrontation between Mick and the teenage in appearance vampire at the rollercoaster.
Also liked the one at the end.

I am enjoying watching this show and it does remind me of Buffy & Angel which I use to love Smile. I am just going to hope that the Channel keeps airing it regularly Smile

Thanks Stargirl and Ickabod.

B.C.:
Not impressed with this episode.
As much as I like Holly Valance she is not very good as the villain and her character's confrontation with Mick is way to brief.

The preview for the next episode looks more promising.

12:04AM:
Very chilling episode with a pretty good villain.
Like the song that was played when Beth was looking at the file of herself.

Unfortunately this was the last episode shown by 9 for the time being as it is end of the non-ratings season.
