Hey, just wanted to know what people thought of Shakespeare Retold on the ABC. I saw MacBeth the other week. Here are my thoughts:

A bit hard to follow, but it is Shakespeare

Clever how he was transformed from a soldier to a chef

Sad how his wife died

Funny how the 3 witches were transformed into 3 garbos

Tomorrow it's Much Ado About Nothing with Billie Piper. As I think of it, I think of one thing - she'll be pashing someone who isn't David Tennant or Christopher Eccleston .... *sighs* I really need to get over Doomsday.

I pointed out Much Ado About Nothing & Taming of the Shrewd here:

I enjoyed Macbeth and I have only recorded Much Ado About Nothing but I am planning to see it before Taming of the Shrew comes on.

Saw Much Ado About Nothing last night. I thought it was very funny, the way Benedick and Beatrice were tricked into loving each other (BTW didn't he look good without the pirate do?). I was a little annoyed that they changed the story a bit with Hero and Claude. In the play, they're meant to tell Claude Hero died and if he wants forgiveness he has to marry her cousin. He does, and it ends up being Hero and they live happily ever after. I guess since it's in the modern world it has to be a bit more realistic. But it was still really good.
